Keywording (post) contemporary art

Book, 66 pages, 200 copies, coil binding, risography. Printed by Gloria Glitzer, Berlin (D), 2018

"If you prefer to talk about the things you make as projects instead of artworks, if you prefer to talk about turns instead of changes, and especially, if you are one of those contemporary-art-lingo-junkies always in search of new ways of expressing yourself, then this is the book for you."

This flipbook consists of four independent flip cards, each containing a single word. By combining them, readers can generate a wide range of phrases that mimic the language of academic writing. The work playfully reflects on the performative nature of academic discourse, where familiar terms and structures can produce statements that sound authoritative regardless of their actual meaning. By inviting readers to assemble their own combinations, the book highlights the thin line between critical language and the academic canon.
